Emergency Cardiac Care Course

This 1 day Emergency Cardiac Care course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the theoretical knowledge to understand Tachycardia and Bradycardia Algorithms, in real world settings such that each participant is then able to deliver high-quality advanced life support to adults. It is delivered in accordance with Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) guidelines and is ideal for clinicians working in critical care or emergency settings.

This course is intended for healthcare professionals who are actively involved in managing or responding to cardiac arrests and critically ill patients. Suitable participants include:

  • Doctors, Nurses, and paramedics (those waiting for ALS certification).
  • Resuscitation officers and educators.
  • Medical Students.
  • Clinical staff working in:
  • Emergency Departments (ED)
  • Intensive Care Units (ICU/CCU/HDU)
  • Theatres and acute medical units
  • ICU outreach or medical emergency teams

The ECC course will immensely aid participants in recognising, managing, and responding to life-threatening cardiac emergencies in adults. It includes structured assessments and team-based scenarios focused on ECG interpretation, defibrillation, cardioversion and cardiac pacing techniques.

  • Practical Learning Approach– Highly practical course design within a supportive and engaging learning environment, building both skills and confidence for managing critical situations in real-life scenarios
  • Interactive Lectures and Discussions– Theoretical foundation provided through interactive lectures and guided discussions to ensure comprehensive understanding
  • Hands-on Skill Stations– Practical skill stations offering direct experience with CPR, defibrillation, rhythm recognition, cardiac pacing, and cardioversion techniques
  • Realistic Emergency Simulations– Team-based scenarios that replicate authentic clinical situations to prepare participants for real-world emergencies
  • Case-based Learning– Structured case studies combined with reflective feedback sessions to consolidate understanding and improve performance
  • Supportive Learning Environment– Deliberately designed to be both supportive and enjoyable, recognising that effective learning occurs when participants feel comfortable and engaged
  • Confidence Building Focus– Ensures participants develop not only technical competencies but also the confidence required to apply skills effectively in high-pressure emergency situations

Upon successful completion of the 1 day ECC course, participants will be able to:

  • Knowledge of the incidence and causes of sudden death in adults.
  • Understand Tachycardia and Bradycardia algorithms in adults.
  • Demonstrate confident and safe practice of defibrillation, cardioversion and pacing in adults.
  • Recognise cardiac arrest and peri-arrest ECG rhythms including 12 lead ECG.
  • Knowledge of what drugs are used and when.
  • Demonstrate safe & effective leadership working within a multidisciplinary team in a simulated emergency scenario.

Also you will get certificate of achievement
